Two days ago, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Palmeiras have accepted a bid tabled by Manchester City for Vitor Reis. It was reported the two clubs are sorting out the details of the operation.

Nosso Palestra brings the latest updates, and it drags the defender closer to Manchester City.

The Premier League winners and Palmeiras exchanged all documents related to the 19-year-old’s transfer on Wednesday afternoon [Brazilian time].

In this way, the Brazilian club have closed the player’s sale to Pep Guardiola’s side. The report adds Manchester City will pay €35m in fixed fee plus bonuses to Palmeiras for the young defender.

Reis has to carry out the transfer formalities with Manchester City before completing a move to the Etihad. To do this, the report states he and his agent will travel to England in the next few hours.

Another report from Nosso Palestra has published an exclusive video of Reis at an airport before boarding a flight to England. They state he ‘travels to sign with’ Manchester City.

Earlier claims stated Palmeiras wanted to retain Reis until the summer’s FIFA Club World Cup. Manchester City, on the other hand, wanted him in the winter market and are now edging closer towards completing the operation.

To sum it up, only the medical and official announcement is missing for Reis to become a Manchester City player.
