Two days ago, we covered claims from Spain that Chelsea are coming for Deportivo La Coruña’s Yeremay Hernández in the winter market.
The Blues could send him out on loan to RC Strasbourg, if the Ligue 1 side were to end one of their existing loan deals.
Wednesday’s edition of AS states Chelsea are the ‘most interested’ team to sign the 22-year-old, who has a €20m release clause in his deal that lasts until 2030.
The newspaper adds the Segunda División side are refusing to negotiate and are referring to his clause.
Sport relay earlier claims about Chelsea and then state the Premier League side ‘insist’ on signing the winger. They add Enzo Maresca’s side aren’t alone as AC Milan are also keen.
The Spaniard, for his part, would change clubs if there’s a sporting project that convinces him and if Deportivo La Coruña were to receive a convincing offer.
Chelsea already have several options in the attack and therefore, the report suggests the option of Yeremay moving to Stamford Bridge ‘loses strength’. The west London club have to convince the player of their project to stand a chance to sign him.
Deportivo La Coruña director Massimo Benassi insists interested parties need to pay the clause to sign Yeremay.
“He and his agents know that the club’s position is clear,” he said.
