According to claim in the French media, Aston Villa and Fulham are showing interest in Mainz 05 defender Anthony Caci.
Both Premier League sides will be looking to add to their squad in this transfer window and the 27-year-old has emerged as a target.
Footmercaro today report on developments regarding Caci’s future and they say several European clubs are monitoring the situation with the right-back/wing-back.
It’s claimed Aston Villa and Fulham have contacted Mainz with regards to signing the player and have asked for information on him.
At this stage there are no reports if either English club have tabled offers for Caci, but Footmercato believe Mainz could be tempted if the right bid comes in.
However, Aston Villa and Fulham should expect to face competition to sign Caci with Valencia, Benfica and Borussia Dortmund all said to be interested in the former Strasbourg man.
Caci has made 18 appearances this season for Mainz and is contracted to the Bundesliga side until June 2026. He joined the German club on a free transfer in 2022 after his contract expired with Strasbourg.
