Federico Chiesa will be staying at Liverpool this month, with his agents insisting a transfer is not on the cards.

That’s according to journalist Gianluca Vitale, who reports that Chiesa is ‘increasingly towards permanence’ at Liverpool.

He states that Chiesa’s entourage are insisting that the forward will not be on the move this month.

The Italian has barely featured since joining from Juventus in the summer. That led to a slew of suggestions from Italy that he could return to Serie A this month.

However, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has insisted that Chiesa only needed to find his ‘intensity’ and would be a part of his plans. That has remained the case. In fact, Vitale reports Chiesa has shown ‘great energy in training’ and wants to stay and fight also.

He is determined to have an impact in England, and it appears Slot wants to give him the opportunity to do so.

Antonio Conte’s ‘strong esteem’ for the player could ‘change the cards’ on the table. The suggestion is he could move strongly for him, particularly with Khvicha Kvaratshkelia on his way to Paris Saint Germain.

Chiesa’s entourage are adamant that won’t be happening though. They’re sending out a clear message that their client will be staying with Liverpool this month.
