There’s a claim in the Italian media that Napoli are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur attacker Timo Werner.

With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the verge of leaving the Serie A side for PSG, it looks like they will be in the market for a wide attacker in this transfer window.

Gazzetta dello Sport today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Kvaratskhelia.

The Georgia international has told Napoli boss Antino Conte he wants to leave in this window and subsequently the Italian coach will want to bring in a replacement.

It’s claimed Tottenham’s Werner is an option for Napoli and that they’ve made contract to ‘understand’ what the chances are to loan the German until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan with Spurs from RB Leipzig, with the Premier League side having the option to purchase him in the summer.

According Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho is also a target for Napoli, but it would take a considerable transfer fee to land the Argentina international.

Werner has made 26 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur in this campaign, scoring just one goal.
