Four days ago, we covered claims from Spain which stated Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement with Celtic’s Luis Palma and are working on securing a deal with Brendan Rodgers’ side.
A fresh report from Estadio Deportivo now claims the winger’s move to the La Liga side has entered the ‘final phase’.
There was a new development on Sunday that brings the Celtic player ‘very close’ to Rayo Vallecano in the winter market.
Celtic and the Spanish club have ‘already closed the agreement’ for the 24-year-old’s loan transfer and the two clubs are now sorting out the last details of the operation.
Estadio state Rayo Vallecano will also have an option to buy the Honduras international for €2.5m at the end of this season. They add Palma will travel to Spain this week to carry out the transfer formalities such as medical tests with the Spanish club.
Brendan Rodgers has limited Palma to only one league start at Celtic this season and therefore the attacker wants a move away from Celtic Park in January and is now close to joining Rayo Vallecano.
