According to a claim in the Turkish media, Nottingham Forest are still showing interest in Trabzonspor midfielder Batista Mendy.

The Premier League side have been linked with the Frenchman in recent months following reports in October they were keeping a close eye on him.

Taka Gazete report on the latest developments regarding the future of Mendy and they say Nottingham Forest, along with some Italian clubs, are monitoring his situation.

Since signing from Angers during the 2023 summer transfer window, the 24-year-old has impressed for the Super Lig side, leading to interest from other clubs.

It’s claimed Trabzonspor will listen to offers for Mendy, but will only sit at the negotiating table for clubs tabling offers in the region of €10m. There are no indications that Nottingham Forest have made an offer for the defensive midfielder at this stage.

Reports this week also said Crystal Palace, Bologna and Torino are in the race to sign the player.

Mendy has started 15 league games this season and is contracted to Trabzonspor until June 2027, with the option for a year extension.
