Arsenal have included Sevilla’s Lucien Agoumé in their target list, according to Foot Mercato.
Sevilla took the defensive midfielder on loan in the winter 2024 market and made his stay permanent in the summer.
Agoumé has been a regular this season, making 18 appearances, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed. The report states Arsenal have included him in their ‘shortlist’ because of his displays and potential.
The Gunners ‘really appreciate’ the 22-year-old’s profile and are keen on signing him.
The Frenchman’s representatives also manage Arsenal star William Saliba, and the outlet states the north London club’s ties with the agent could be an advantage for Mikel Arteta’s side to sign Agoumé.
At this moment in time, the north London club haven’t made progress or converted their interest into an offer.
The Premier League side are without a sporting director since Edú Gaspar left them last month and Foot Mercato claim this makes it ‘complicated’ for them to negotiate a deal for the midfielder.
Agoumé’s contract at the La Liga side lasts until 2028 and Transfermarkt currently values him at €6m. Arsenal or any other club would have to offer much more than that if they want to secure his services.
