Gyori ETO FC’s Mamady Diarra has ended up on Cardiff City’s radar for the winter market.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who state Cardiff City have made an approach to sign the 24-year-old.
The Championship side are currently 22nd in the table, with 18 points from 21 games, and are four points behind 19th placed Stoke City with a game in hand.
In order to improve their chances of finishing the season in the second division, the Welsh club are looking for reinforcements in January.
Omer Riza’s side have identified Diarra as a target to improve their attack and have made an approach for him. The report states ‘negotiations are currently underway’, without making it clear if it’s between the two clubs or between Cardiff City and his camp.
The Bluebirds aren’t alone as Partizan Belgrade and unnamed clubs are showing interest in the Malian winger.
His contract lasts until 2025, and the January window will be the last opportunity for the Hungarian side to make cash from his sale.
Diarra joined Gyori ETO FC in 2023 and finished his debut season with four goals and nine assists from 34 matches. He managed a goal and assist from 11 games so far this season.
