Over the past few days, the Brazilian media has talked about Palmeiras’ keen interest in Fulham’s Andreas Pereira.
Last weekend, Nosso Palestra stated Fulham want €30m and the Brazilian club could only meet this by including a player as part of the deal.
On Monday, the same website said Fulham have sent positive signals over taking Richard Ríos plus money for Pereira.
Globo Esporte now claim Palmeiras have made an attempt to sign the Fulham midfielder without including any player.
He’s reportedly keen on joining them and has given his approval to his representatives to continue talks. This would give the Brazilian club an advantage when negotiating with Marco Silva’s side.
It’s claimed Palmeiras have tabled a €20m bid and are waiting for the Premier League side to respond in the coming days.
Fulham had turned down Marseille’s €25m offer, likely in the summer window. Despite this, the report states Palmeiras are optimistic of reaching an agreement for the former Manchester United man’s transfer.
Journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report about the €20m offer made by Palmeiras.
If Silva’s side were to not accept it, they are ready to raise the offer by €2m and this is the ‘financial limit’ they have to convince Fulham.
The negotiations are ongoing, and Palmeiras are counting on Pereira’s desire to join them, to try and get this deal over the line.
