Last month, a report from Calciomercato stated Liverpool are interested in AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic after his impressive performances for the Italian side this season.
The USA international has made a mark at the San Siro side, scoring eight times and assisting six times in all competitions. He last scored in October, but the winger assisted twice in five games before he picked up a groin injury.
Despite the recent barren goalscoring spell, Liverpool look set to miss out on Pulisic as Calciomercato today report on his situation at Milan.
The Rossoneri are about to hand him a new deal and the club have decided to make what has been described as an ‘anti-Liverpool’ move. They will increase his wages from €4m per season to €5m per season and the decision has been made. His current deal runs out in the summer of 2027.
The outlet states that the Reds are indeed interested but the incoming new deal will make it ‘increasingly difficult’ for them to sign the 26-year-old winger.
The ex-Chelsea player is quite immersed in the project at Milan and has no intention to depart. He harbours intentions of winning silverware with the side and there is belief that the new deal will help him achieve that.
