German coach Timo Hillebrenner has suggested a willingness to manage Leeds United.
Hillebrenner is currently in charge at Herzebrocker SV, where his contract lasts until the end of this season.
Monday’s edition of Neue Westfälische covers the managerial situation at the lower division German side.
The newspaper claims Hillebrenner will leave Herzebrocker at the end of this season, after having spent over three years at the club, and they will have to look for a new manager.
“On the one hand, my job is my priority, and on the other, I want to have more time for private things. Unless Leeds United calls,” he said.
While the manager has joked about wanting to manage the Whites, the report states he is set for a sabbatical after this season.
There’s no mention or suggestion as to why the German would like to manage Leeds, who are unlikely to make managerial changes anytime soon.
Daniel Farke has been in charge at the Championship side since the start of last season and is in contention to help Leeds secure a promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites are second in the table with 45 points, trailing leaders Sheffield United by three points, and a point ahead of third placed Burnley.
