Vasco da Gama have shown interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison for the winter market.
That’s according to TNT Sports in Brazil, who report Vasco da Gama president Pedrinho has contacted the 27-year-old to register interest.
They add negotiations to sign the Tottenham player didn’t progress, without providing any explanation.
Globo Esporte have provided more on this when covering the Brazilian club’s interest in the forward.
Vasco da Gama are looking to improve their attack and contacted the former Everton man to make an offer. The report states they made a loan proposal to the Brazil international, but didn’t make an offer to Tottenham.
Back in March, Richarlison revealed Vasco da Gama are one of the clubs he supports, and they wanted to take advantage of this to sign him in January. That didn’t happen as the player ‘thanked’ them for their interest and closed Spurs’ exit door.
It’s claimed the South American is in Tottenham’s plans and rules out a move away from the club. Had he given his approval, Vasco da Gama would have negotiated a loan deal with Ange Postecoglou’s side in the upcoming window.
Richarlison has also turned down Fluminense, who made firm efforts to sign him. At the weekend, Globo reported Tottenham have ruled out sanctioning his transfer next month.
