Malick Yalcouyé arrived at Brighton & Hove Albion from Swedish side IFK Göteborg in July and signed a contract until 2029 at The Amex.
Fabian Hürzeler left the 19-year-old out of his core plans and the Seagulls allowed him to go out on a season-long loan deal to SK Sturm Graz in August.
Kleine Zeitun say Sturm Graz are ‘threatened with the early departure of Malick Yalcouyé’.
The Brighton owned player made 18 appearances in all competitions and that includes six Champions League matches for the Austrian club.
He’s been one of the standout players for his current club and the Graz newspaper says the midfielder is ‘too good’ for the Austrian Bundesliga. His performances have also caught the attention of other, albeit unnamed, clubs.
Kleine Zeitun state Sturm Graz are worried about the Seagulls recalling the Malian and selling him to another club in January.
The Premier League side reportedly invested €7m to buy him and Kleine Zeitun state the midfielder’s valuation has increased to €13m. It could ‘really pay off’ for Brighton if they decide to make a profit from his sale in the upcoming window.
