Richarlison wants to move to another Premier League side if he leaves Tottenham in January, perhaps scuppering Brazilian efforts to get him.
That’s according to Brazilian newspaper O Dia, who report that while Flamengo and Fluminense are bidding for him, the striker may have other ideas.
They say that Tottenham want at least €40m to sell Richarlison, who has a contract with them until June 2027. They have completely ruled out a loan deal.
Flamengo are only willing to pay up to €20m.
Richarlison, for his part, is not ruling out a return to Brazil but his priority is to stay in the England, even if it at another club than Tottenham. No specific club is mentioned at this point.
Either way, it seems he’d prefer to stay in the Premier League and that may be likely if journalist Jorge Nicola’s information is correct as well.
He covers the growing Brazilian interest in the player today and the apparent proposals from Fluminense and Flamengo, as well as Tottenham’s response to them.
He can’t see any coming to fruition, though, as the money involved is simply out of reach for the Brazilian sides.
“Just to finish in relation to Richarlison, the contract with Tottenham ends in June 2027 and in recent days he had already been sought by Fluminense and also by Flamengo,” he said after discussing a report from UOL earlier this week.
“Given the numbers requested, it can be said that Richarlison in Brazil is almost impossible.”
