Luton Town have struck a deal with RWDM in Belgium for centre-back Christ Makosso to join in the January transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that the 20-year-old is set to undergo medical tests soon.
Tavolieri reports that Luton have struck an agreement worth €1.5m with the Challenger Pro League club for the defender, who plays at centre-back.
He only arrived at the Belgian side in a €200,000 deal from FC Sochaux in January of this year but has been a regular since, making 23 appearances in total for the club to date.
A report earlier today made it clear that Luton had taken notice of him and were on the verge of striking an agreement for the player with Molenbeek.
That stated the deal would be worth €2.4m and see the Belgians retain a percentage on a future transfer but Tavolieri reports the price at €1.5m.
Either way, he insists a deal has now been agreed and the 20-year-old is set to undergo tests soon before signing a long-term contract with Luton, likely to be five years.
