Manchester United have made ‘interesting proposals’ to Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz, impressed by his performance against Manchester City.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say Manchester United’s eyes ‘widen’ every time the 19-year-old steps on to the pitch.
The newspaper reports that the forward’s excellent performance against Manchester City in the Champions League did not go unnoticed. In fact, it ‘rekindled the interest’ of many foreign clubs.
Manchester United are one of them, having already tried to flatter the young playmaker with interesting proposals in recent months.
They have a longstanding interest in the player, although Juventus have regularly batted off attempts for him and ensured he signed a new contract in the summer that satisfied everyone involved.
Yildiz has continued to impress since then, though, and a new contract may be on the way in 2025 to put him closer to the big names in Thiago Motta’s squad.
Juventus haven’t put a price tag on him but know the big clubs will ‘return to the charge’ before too long if he continues to shine as he did against Manchester City.
Corriere ever speculate Manchester United could step thanks to Paul Scholes, who was one of many making ‘illustrious compliments’ about the player on social media after the win over City.
This praise, say the newspaper, is ‘capable of reaching the hearts’ of Manchester United and their fans, with the former still ‘one of the great admirers’ of the footballer, who’ve they’ve been following since he was at Bayern Munich.
