RWD Molenbeek defender Christ Makosso is on his way to Luton Town in the winter market, according to Foot Mercato.
The centre-back joined the second division Belgian club from FC Sochaux in the winter 2024 market and signed a contract until 2028.
He featured regularly for RWD Molenbeek, making 23 appearances in all competitions of which 13 are from this season.
The Congolese’s performances for RWD Molenbeek have caught Luton Town’s attention.
Foot Mercato state the Hatters have made progress in their efforts to secure the 20-year-old’s services. It’s claimed RWD Molenbeek are ‘on the verge of reaching agreement’ with Luton Town.
The report further adds the Championship side will sign the player on a permanent deal for €2.4m plus bonuses, and the Belgian club will receive a percentage of the fee from his future sale. In this way, the player ‘will sign’ for Luton Town in January.
Makosso has already played football in France and Belgium and will soon experience English football with Luton Town.
The second division English club are currently 16th in the table with 22 points from 20 games.
