Earlier this year, journalist Jorge Nicola reported Arsenal have made contact for Corinthians’ Breno Bidon.
Fast forward to December and Trivela provide the latest on Arsenal’s interest in the 19-year-old.
He graduated from Corinthians’ academy and was promoted to their first team earlier this year. The midfielder has made 44 appearances in all competitions, managing a goal and an assist in the process.
The Brazil U20 international has ended up on the radar of a few Premier League sides who are ‘considering making proposals soon’ for him.
Arsenal are one of those clubs and the report says Bidon’s agent is aware of the English sides making advances for him. The Gunners believe his profile and qualities can allow him to develop if he were to arrive at the Emirates.
Back in March, Bidon signed a deal until December 2028, and that includes a €100m release clause.
Mikel Arteta’s side could get him for a much lower price because Corinthians have need to improve their finances. Trivela state Bidon is ‘first in the line’ to be sold as his sale can help them make a huge profit.
If Bidon were to leave in January, the Brazilian club would bring in a replacement in the same window.
