Last month, Tottenham Hotspur were mentioned as a potential suitor for FC Nürnberg striker Stefanos Tzimas.
The teenager has seven 2. Bundesliga goals this season and also has two assists. The Greek forward is on loan from PAOK but Nürnberg have the option to sign him permanently for €18m.
BILD have today looked at the 18-year-old’s situation and they state it is possible that he can arrive at the German club on a permanent basis and then be immediately sold for a profit.
The option to buy is €18m and there’s a good chance that Nürnberg can earn a quick profit from the sale, with Tottenham an interested club. Chelsea, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also monitoring the player.
The German club’s current asking price is around €24m and a club of Tottenham’s financial standing could help them earn a profit of over €5m in their cunning plan.
Nürnberg sporting director Olaf Rebbe is said to be quite keen on playing transfer ‘poker’ and making a quick buck.
