West Ham United’s Niclas Füllkrug has been linked with a move to Juventus in the winter market.
The striker arrived at West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer window and an injury kept him on the sidelines for over three months. He returned in his side’s 3-1 loss to Leicester City last week and also found the back of the net.
Rai Sport journalist Paolo Paganini has talked about the West Ham player as an option for the Serie A side. He was discussing Juve’s January transfer plans for Rai’s 90° Minuto and his comments are relayed by Tutto Juve.
The journalist states the Old Lady are “talking to” West Ham over taking the 31-year-old on a loan deal in January. He makes no mention if the Germany international and the Hammers are open to this move.
Meanwhile, Il Bianconero rule out the possibility of Juventus making an approach for the West Ham player next month.
They relay claims made elsewhere about intermediaries probing offering Füllkrug to the Italian club and then share own updates.
It’s claimed Juventus are ‘unwilling to seriously consider’ signing him next month due to two factors. The first one is his age, and the sporting factor is the second reason as his profile doesn’t seems to fit into Thiago Motta’s needs.
This report contradicts Paganini’s claim of Juve talking to West Ham for the German.
