Manchester United ‘could be the ones’ to pay Victor Osimhen’s €75m release clause in the January transfer window, with Napoli ready to do business.
That’s according to Il Mattino, via Napoli Magazine, who say Manchester United are very much in the mix for the Nigerian striker.
The newspaper reports that Juventus have set their sights on the striker, who is currently on loan from Juvetus at Galatasaray.
That deal includes a break clause for January and several sides have been linked with a move for him over the last few weeks. A report in Turkey threw Manchester United into the mix this week and Il Mattino continue that.
They say that both they and Paris Saint Germain ‘could be the ones’ to pay the Nigerian’s €75m clause once the window open.
Napoli are more than open to negotiating and already have plans to reinvest the money on new signings such as Jakub Kiwior and Patrick Dorgu.
Dealing with Manchester United or PSG would also save them from doing a deal with Juventus, for whom they won’t make life easy. They will not offer discounts or ‘other benefits’ to their league rivals.
That could lead to complicated negotiations but Manchester United simply offering €75m and activating the clause would solve plenty of problems and the media in Italy, like in Turkey, think that’s a possibility.
