Arda Guler will be handed his chance to impress against Liverpool, with Carlo Ancelotti bringing him into Real Madrid’s midfield for the clash at Anfield.

That’s according to El Chiringuito journalist Jose Luis Sanchez, who reports that Ancelotti has made the decision to bring Guler into the first team for the trip in the Champions League.

Madrid have been hit by injury problems ahead of the game against Liverpool this evening, with Vinicus Junior this week joining a list that already included Eder Militao, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Aurelien Tchouaméni and Rodrygo.

Ancelotti has been working on a system change as a result, looking to make the best of what he has as his side on Europe’s in form side.

He has seemingly decided that includes bringing Guler into the fold, despite the forward managing just 13 appearances totalling 382 minutes so far this season.

That’s caused some consternation in Spain as they want to see the highly rated Turkish 19-year-old given his chance, something which it appears he is now set to be given by his manager in this evening’s big game against Liverpool.

“This is what Ancelotti is going to do tonight at Anfield,” he said in a video released by El Chiringuito.

“He is going to repeat Federico Valverde on the right side. Middle of the field, watch out how Ancelotti is going to come out, Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and above Kylian Mbappé and Brahim Diaz.

“That’s how brave Carlo Ancelotti is going to come out tonight at Anfield.”
