Manchester City have informed the Brazilian FA, the CBF, that Savinho should be available for the next international break.
That’s according to GE Globo, who reporting that Manchester City have reassured the CBF that the forward is not as badly injured as first feared.
Savinho was stretchered out of this week’s clash with Tottenham in the EFL Cup in tears after suffering an apparent ankle injury. Initial fears had been that the Brazilian was set for an extended period on the sidelines.
No injury was found in his right ankle and CBF doctor Rodrigo Lasmar was informed by Manchester City that the injury which saw him taken off against Tottenham ‘was nothing more than a scare’.
Imaging tests carried out on Thursday in Manchester diagnoses that it was nothing more than a trauma due to a sprain. Thus, he should be available for Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth and nothing will prevent him being called up by Brazil for the next international break.
They have clashes against Venezuela on 14 October and then Uruguay on 20 October and the Manchester City forward is seemingly set to be a part of the group despite this week’s scare.
