Leeds United hero Pablo Hernández has insisted his love for the club remains eternal, naming them as one of the best of his career.
The former forward has been speaking to Flashscore about his career as he’s moved into coaching at the age of 39.
Hernández spent a glorious five-year spell at Leeds United from 2016 to 2021 after first arriving on loan from Al-Arabi SC.
He went on to make 175 appearances in total, more than for any other club in his career, bagging 36 goals and 41 appearances in them and establishing himself as a firm fan favourite.
He was also a key player under Marcelo Bielsa, making 94 appearances under the Argentine coach and proving crucial as Leeds returned to the Premier League following a 16-year absence.
And that has continued in his interview with Flashscore, where he’s insisted that Leeds will always be among the best clubs he played for during his career on the pitch.
“Valencia and Leeds have been the clubs where I have spent the most time,” he said.
“Obviously, those two clubs along with Club Deportivo Castellón are very important to me. If I had to choose just one, I would choose Castellón because of what it means to me.
“Not only because I played in the youth team and these last two years of my career in the first team, but because it is the club of my city, where I started watching football in the First Division with my father, who took me to Castalia.
“And then I stay with Leeds. I spent five years there, where I felt very loved, very important, where I managed to get promoted to the Premier League and where, honestly, I really enjoyed myself as a player.”
