Casemiro hasn’t started for Manchester United in the Premier League since their home defeat to Liverpool on September 1st.
The Brazil international was linked with a move away from the Red Devils in the summer window, but no deal took shape. Recent claims have talked about the possibility of the 32-year-old moving back to his Brazilian football.
São Paulo and Palmeiras have been named as options for the Manchester United player in 2025. Journalist Jorge Nicola has now given his take on the chances of Casemiro returning to Brazil, relayed by Bolavip.
The midfielder’s deal lasts until 2026, with an option for another year. The outlet states he earns £18.2m per year at Old Trafford.
Nicola claims his current wages make it impossible for São Paulo, Palmeiras or another Brazilian club to secure his services.
“There is no chance of that happening. Casemiro has the highest salary at Manchester United [£18.2 million per year]. Zero chance of playing in Brazil, forget about this story” he said.
The journalist claims Casemiro could leave Manchester United if a club were to pay them a fee and offer him a deal close to his current wages. Bolvaip relay that and add that Saudi Arabia could be an option for the former Real Madrid star.
