In the long history of Everton transfers, it’s fair to say that Rúben Vinagre’s arrival in July 2022 is one of those that’s quickly been forgotten.

But on this occasion, it appears there may be a happy ending, as he’s set to secure a permanent move to Legia Warszawa.

That’s according to O Jogo, who report that the Polish side are set to exercise the €2.5m option in their current loan deal for the 25-year-old.

He joined them on loan in July after a difficult few years in which he’s bounced around various clubs since moving to Sporting Club de Portugal for €10m from Wolves.

He’s since spent time at Everton, where he managed just four appearances, Hull City, where he managed 11, and Hellas Verona, where he upped that to 12.

It’s been a rocky road for him since his stint at Goodison Park, where he failed to impress anyone despite their struggles that season.

It seems he’s found his feet in Poland, though, and with 16 appearances already and five assists in them as well, it appears that they’ve now decided to make his move a permanent one.

That will hopefully help him to forget the miserable time he spent at Everton, Hull and Hellas Verona in the past couple of years.
