West Ham signed Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice in the summer and the move came about after strong competition from Juventus.
The insistence was that the Frenchman was keen on joining Juve but due to their indecisiveness, West Ham sealed their move quite late in the window.
The centre-back is yet to start even once for the Hammers, having played only seven minutes in the Premier League.
This brought some schadenfreude-style joy to the media around Juventus, especially considering that Pierre Kalulu has turned out to be an early success for the Bianconeri.
IlBianconero have now reported that Todibo has endured a ‘disappointing’ few weeks at West Ham and they don’t forget to mention that the Frenchman has been on the bench in the last three games.
The outlet goes on to state how good Kalulu has been since his arrival from Milan, suggesting that Juve got a better deal. That is despite the fact that Todibo was probably their key target and they missed out on him due to their own mistakes.
There is no doubting that Kalulu has impressed for Thiago Motta’s side, but the report seems to be conveying a bitter perspective of the situation.
