Arsenal have again been exchanged for a ‘sensational exchange’ with Inter Milan that would see them exchange Gabriel Jesus for Marcus Thuram.
Inter Live cover the idea today and say that Thuram is being targeted by European giants, including Arsenal, who could offer a ‘sensational possible exchange’.
They explain that Thuram has been the driving force for Inter Milan so far this season, putting in several impressive performances and taking the weight of Inter’s attack on his shoulders.
That’s aroused interest from Arsenal, who could ‘decisively target’ the Nerazzurri striker. In fact, the idea would be to exchange him for Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian is not considered untouchable by the Gunners coaching staff by any means after 19 goals in 70 appearances and an injury list that continues to grow and leave him out of action.
Mikel Arteta’s idea would be to accept Jesus’ departure to get Thuram, with both players valued the same at this moment in time.
That idea seems to be a solely British one, as Inter Live argue that it’s more likely Inter Milan would demand a ‘substantial cash payment’ be included in any agreement.
There is a feeling they’d need to be convinced to sit at the table first, but the possibility is there, and Arsenal are seemingly exploring it.
