Inter Milan have been keeping an eye on Arsenal’s Takehiro Tomiyasu, according to a report from Italy.
The defender prefers to operate as a right-back and can also play across the back line. Mikel Arteta used him across multiple positions last season, and he made 30 appearances.
Tomiyasu hasn’t made an appearance for Arsenal this season as he recovers from injury.
The Serie A side could consider making an approach for him in the future. That’s according to InterLive.it, who state the Nerazzurri have identified the 25-year-old as a target to replace Yann Bisseck.
At Inter, the German has played as a centre-back and the report claims his start to this season hasn’t been convincing. It’s possible for the Italian champions to part ways with him if there’s a €30m offer.
If Bisseck were to leave, InterLive.it claim Simone Inzaghi’s side will look to replace him with the Arsenal player. He has ‘already done well’ in Italy during his time at Bologna.
The Japan international is valued at €15m but it’s stated Inter could sign him on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The ‘deal could soon take off’ under these conditions, obviously having to wait for the window to open again.
