Burnley are still ‘holding firm’ on their asking price for Luca Koleosho, despite him making it clear that he wants to join Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports the deal for him is likely to be a complicated one and perhaps now only doable on deadline day.

Wolves appear keen to strengthen Gary O’Neil’s squad before the end of the transfer window and Koleosho is one of those they’ve targeted.

It’s been made clear that Koleosho wants the move, something he’s also made clear to Burnley, but the Clarets have continued to bat Wolves away.

An initial €25m bid for the winger has already been rejected, although it was expected that the deal could pick up after the two sides faced each other in the cup this week.

That hasn’t happened as yet, and Tavolieri now reports that it looks like a complicated deal to get done before the end of the window.

He states that Burnley are still holding firm when it comes to Koleosho despite the player’s desire to join Wolves.

Thus, it appears no movement is being made, although there is plenty of time for that to change in the madness of deadline day.
