It’s been confirmed Southampton forward Manolo Gabbiadini will train with his former club Bologna from tomorrow.
The Italian spent a season with the Serie A side, but Southampton fans don’t need to be worried as the player is just maintaining his fitness ahead of Italy’s internationals next month.
TMW have reported Gabbiadini will spend four days at Bologna’s training complex because Southampton have now finished their season. Italy have upcoming games against the Netherlands and Lichtenstein, and subsequently the forward wants to keep in shape if he’s selected for the squad.
Bologna have yet to finish their season, so it’s been revealed Gabbiadini will train on his own, and not with the team ahead of their games with Juventus next weekend. Leeds United’s Pontus Jansson has also done the same thing with his former club Malmo, due to Sweden’s clash with France in June.
Gabbiadini has made a big impact at the start of his Southampton career, but his run was brought to a halt by injury, and the Italian hasn’t found the back of the net in his last 8 appearances.
