On Thursday, a claim from the British press stated that Arsenal have approached Paris Saint-Germain over signing Fabián Ruiz this summer.
This has reached the French media, especially Foot Mercato, who then provide their own updates on Arsenal’s reported interest and the Ligue 1 winners’ stance on the 28-year-old.
He had mixed performances under Luis Enrique last season, but Ruiz starred for Spain at Euro 2024. This seems to have caught the attention of other European clubs, including Arsenal, as per the English media.
Foot Mercato have wasted no time in denying this claim and they make it clear that the Ligue 1 champions have yet to be approached by the Gunners for the former Napoli man.
He has a contract with the Paris club until 2026 and the Spain international is expected to continue with Enrique’s side next season.
It’s claimed PSG will change their stance if they were to receive an offer that’s ‘difficult to refuse’. The report doesn’t mention the French club’s demand, but they do point out that the Spainard is valued at €35m by Transfermarkt.
