On Monday, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Lazio are planning a blitz to try and secure a deal for Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.

Tuesday’s edition of Corriere della Sera brings the latest on the Serie A side’s efforts to sign the forward.

Lazio are simultaneously working to sign the Manchester United player and Udinese’s Lazar Samardžić, and are aiming to wrap up a deal for one them as soon as possible.

The newspaper says two Biancocelesti officials flew to England on Monday to hold direct talks with the Red Devils for the 22-year-old.

The two officials, on behalf of Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito, offered €18m plus 50% of the fee from the Englishman’s future sale. This hasn’t convinced Erik ten Hag’s side, who aren’t willing to entertain other formulas and are demanding €35m cash.

It’s further claimed Manchester United aren’t willing to lower the price. The Italian club are aware that it’s going to be a difficult task but their officials will hold talks with the Premier League side again today.

Corriere dell Sera state Manchester United, who are stalling Lazio, are waiting for better offers.
