Liverpool player ‘willing to wait’ to secure dream transfer – Movements started for summer deal

On June 19th, Sport reported Barcelona were expected to have a meeting with Liverpool star Luis Díaz’s entourage in the United States last week.

Later that day, Mundo Deportivo dismissed this claim and insisted that the La Liga side have no official flying to the US, where the winger is currently part of the Colombia squad for the Copa América.

Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims the Catalan club have ‘already moved’ to sign the Liverpool player in the summer window. There’s no further explanation given on the movements carried out by Barca.

The 27-year-old, for his part, ‘dreams’ of playing for the Spanish giants. Díaz is already aware that he can only arrive at the Camp Nou if Raphinha were to leave.

It’s claimed the Colombia international is ‘willing to wait’ for Raphinha’s exit to fulfil his dream.

Hansi Flick’s side are ready to ‘sacrifice’ the former Leeds United man for €90m, and this would allow them to raise necessary funds to sign take Díaz away from the Reds.

Another report from Mundo says Al-Hilal are keen on signing Raphinha this summer. Jorge Jesus’ side have contacted Barca and the player’s camp, and the Blaugrana need at least €90m to sanction the 27-year-old Brazilian’s sale.

Raphinha is reluctant to leave, but the newspaper says Al-Hilal are confident of convincing him.
