Bayern Munich ‘seems to be gradually losing patience’ with Fulham in negotiations over midfielder Joao Palhinha.

That’s according to FCB Inside, relaying information from Sport BILD, who say the Germans have set a ‘pain threshold’ for the Portugal star and won’t be going beyond it.

A report last night from journalist Florian Plettenberg made it clear that Bayern would not pay over the top for Palhinha, despite him still being a major target for them after their efforts to sign him last summer.

Sport BILD continue that theme today, stating that after seeing a second bid of €42m rejected, the German giants are about to make their final offer to Fulham.

Their current pain threshold is €45m and those in charge at the Allianz Arena will not go beyond that point, which is the ‘absolute upper limit’ for them.

They have shown a willingness to talk and negotiate matters, but Fulham are still sticking to their asking price for Palhinha, which has been set at €65m.

Bayer Munich’s upper limit is €20m short of that and Sport BILD make it clear that they won’t be going beyond that point either. Indeed, their willingness to talk with Fulham, and their patience, appears to be running low.

Whether that means an end to talks is on the way and the transfer is cancelled for a second time remains to be seen, but with such a large gap between the two clubs are present, it’s hard to see how Palhinha ends up at Bayern this summer.
