The Brazilian media is now also reporting advanced talks between Juventus and Aston Villa for Douglas Luiz’s transfer.
Globo Esporte claims the clubs already have an agreement for a move worth £20m, plus two Bianconeri players, while there’s a ‘hurry’ to get the transfer done because of financial restrictions.
Now since the midfielder ‘welcomes the move’, the parties believe there will be no issues for him to agree personal terms with Juventus and sign a five-year deal.
Since Aston Villa need the transfer to be concluded before the end of June, it’s said they already authorised the Bianconeri to speak to the Brazilian.
It now remains to be seen whether Douglas Luiz will have to undergo medicals with Juventus to conclude the move. The national team is currently in Orlando, playing some friendlies before the Copa América.
Aston Villa bought the midfielder in a €16.8m deal from Manchester City in2 019. He’s leaving the club with 204 appearances, 22 goals and 24 assists.
