From Fulham release to Saudi Arabia – Player could be back in action quickly with financial boost

Earlier today, Fulham confirmed goalkeeper Marek Rodák will leave when his contract at the club expires at the end of this month.

The 27-year-old initially joined Fulham’s academy in 2013 and has made 93 appearances in all competitions for them.

Marco Silva’s side had the option to extend his contract for another year, but they decided not to exercise it.

Rodák could move to Saudi Arabia if a report from L’Equipe journalist Loïc Tanzi is to be believed.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that Middle East clubs are waiting to find out their budgets for the summer window. That hasn’t stopped some from working on potential signings.

Tanzi says the stopper could move to Al-Ettifaq, and he uses this an example to indicate that a few Saudi clubs are already trying to sign players.

The move to Saudi Arabia would likely see the goalkeeper improve his salary, and enjoy regular game time next season, which he didn’t get at the Premier League side.

Rodák made five appearances for Fulham in the recently concluded season and all of them were in the cup competitions.
