Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all in the mix to sign Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz in the summer window.
The latest claims from Italy have said Aston Villa director Monchi has offered the 26-year-old to Juventus. It was also stated the Villans official values him at €40m.
Calciomercato.it relay that and then give their own updates, where they mention Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United interest in Luiz.
Juventus and AS Roma had the Aston Villa midfielder on their radar in the past, and the Turin side has been offered an opportunity to sign him in the next window.
The report says the Brazil international’s current valuation is much higher than €40m and add that Unai Emery’s side have set a base price of £60m [€70m].
Aston Villa’s high request isn’t the only concern for Juve. It’s claimed the competition from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United is the Turin club’s ‘main obstacle’ to sign Luiz.
Juve would prefer to invest on Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners, who is their main midfield target.
The report states Luiz’s ‘memorable season’ at Aston Villa has seen him end up Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United’s agenda. They suggest Monchi could ask for €15-20m more from these clubs.
Aston Villa have qualified for the Champions League and Luiz can play in this competition if he were to join Arsenal or Liverpool. The player has to settle for the Europa League if he decides to sign for Manchester United.
