Club pushing forward to sign Chelsea man – Working out deal to make it affordable

Monaco are moving forward with a potential transfer effort for Chelsea striker Armando Broja as they search for a new forward.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the striker could be sold by Chelsea this summer and Monaco are ready to make their move for him.

According to the newspaper’s information, Broja is one of the players that Chelsea could move on to help with their Financial Fair Play and PSR issues and Monaco are aware of this.

They’ve already made an approach for the player and negotiations are now underway for the striker, who has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2028.

The Ligue 1 side are structuring a deal that would include multiple bonuses and a resale percentage in the hope of lowering the overall cost of the operation and bring Broja to the Principality as a replacement for Wissam Ben Yedder.

Whether Chelsea would accept such a deal isn’t explained, although given their need for money up front, they would surely want to negotiate with Monaco on that front.

Watford, surprisingly, and AC Milan are also attentive to the situation around Broja, but Monaco are ‘more advanced’ on the matter at this moment in time and pushing to get a deal done.
