Tottenham Hotspur have followed Davide Frattesi’s mixed season at Inter Milan, according to InterLive.it.
The midfielder was mainly restricted to a substitute role as he clocked in 1,555 minutes from 42 games, managing eight goals and seven assists. This has seen Tottenham, Atlético Madrid and AS Roma monitor him with ‘greater interest’.
The 24-year-old’s name could be back on the market in the summer window and Spurs would have a plan to snatch him away from the Serie A winners.
The report makes no mention of Milan’s interest, but they do state Emerson is currently valued between €15m and €18m. This would take the overall cost of the deal for Frattesi to €48m.
Tottenham intend to use Emerson plus €30m to convince Inter to sanction Frattesi’s sale and this can put them in an ‘advantageous position’ [likely ahead of Atlético and Roma] to sign the Italian.
