Crystal Palace defender Jairo Riedewald is seen as a potential interesting option for FC Twente when he leaves Selhurst Park on a free transfer in the summer.
Twente Insite cover the player today and how Twente may be tempted into a move for him when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
They explain that Riedewald’s name has been mentioned at Twente as an interesting player over the years and that means there will be inevitable links this summer.
The defender is currently at Crystal Palace, but his contract is expiring in the summer and won’t be renewed, with it reported today that he’ll be one of several players departing at that point.
That makes him a potentially interesting option for the Dutch side, as they know he can cover the squad in several areas.
He’s largely played as a defensive midfielder for Crystal Palace but can also play at centre-back and left-back so could be an option for Twente if Michal Sadilek leaves or as a replacement for Gijs Smal, who is departing on a free transfer.
It’s pure speculation at this point but if that’s a link which pops up this summer, it would seemingly not be all that surprising.
