Two days ago, Hull City parted ways with manager Liam Rosenior, after missing out on the Championship play-offs this season. The Tigers finished seventh in the table, three points behind sixth placed Norwich City.
Hull City are looking for Rosenior’s successor and the latest claims in the UK have stated Tim Walter has been identified as one of the candidates.
These claims have reached Germany, especially Sky Deutschland, who then provide their own information on the situation with Walter.
The 48-year-old has been without a job since leaving second division German side Hamburg SV in February. Last month, he made a trip to England, where he was spotted in Nottingham Forest’s director box during their clash against Manchester City.
It’s claimed there has already been initial talks between the coach and the Championship side, and the report further adds Walter is ‘about to sign’ with the Tigers.
Meanwhile, Turkish journalist Mehmet Demirkol states Hull City owner Acun Ilıcalı had approached two managers from the Turkish league. He didn’t reveal the details of these managers, but the duo would likely turn down the opportunity to move to the Championship.
“I think Acun Ilıcalı has two names from Turkey in mind for Hull City. But I don’t think he can convince both of them, maybe if they were to go up to the Premier League. I’m saying this because I heard it from other places, I didn’t learn it from Acun Ilıcalı,” he said, as quoted by Ajansspor.
