Burnley defender Jordan Beyer’s future beyond this season remains uncertain.

That’s as per Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide an update on the 23-year-old’s situation.

Beyer’s last appearance for Burnley came towards the end of 2023 and he’s been sidelined with a thigh injury since then.

The journalist claims the 23-year-old is now close to returning to the pitch and his injury didn’t have an an impact on his potential suitors.

Plettenberg adds the centre-back has been approached by clubs from both the Premier League and the Bundesliga, but he didn’t provide any further details of these teams.

He initially joined Vincent Kompany’s side on a loan deal from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2022 and his stay at Turf Moor was made permanent last year. Beyer has over three years left on his deal, but could leave Burnley in the summer window.

According to Plettenberg, a ‘move is possible’ if Kompany’s side were to be relegated from the Premier League. Burnley are 19th in the table, trailing 17th placed Nottingham Forest by two points. Beyer is currently valued at €15m.
