Juventus are looking to add a ‘shot of experience’ to their midfield in the summer, hence their interest in Arsenal’s Jorginho.
That’s according to La Stampa, relayed by Il Bianconero, who say the Italian side are following the Arsenal man with ‘extreme attention’ and analysing a potential move for him.
The newspaper explains that Juventus want to add a player who can act as the ‘mother hen’ for the youngsters currently present in the squad.
That’s led them to looking at experienced players who could be available in the summer. Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos is one of them, while Arsenal’s Jorginho is ‘a crazy idea’ being considered as well.
His current deal with the Gunners expires in the summer and they are yet to activate an option to extend it by another year, despite Mikel Arteta having publically stated he would like to see that happen.
Thus a ‘reflection is in progress’ at Juventus, who would be ready to move for the Italian midfielder should he be available on a free transfer.
It all seems to depend on what Arsenal decide to do, with no moves made yet on Jorginho’s contract and Juventus lingering, waiting to see what happens there before deciding definitively on him.
