Ajax have sent a strong signal to youngster Gabriel Misehouy by dropping him from first-team training as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester City.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who say the club’s ‘patience has almost run out’ as the youngster refuses to sign a new deal.
The newspaper explains that Ajax have been trying to extend Misehouy’s contract for months but have not managed to get those talks to a successful conclusion.
Misehouy is claiming that he ‘lacks perspective’ from Ajax, with recent rumours indicating h’s demanding time in the first team and guaranteed playing time. Ajax believe he is talking too much and should earn his place.
It is that which has led to the divide and the continued rumours about a potential departure, with Manchester City very much in the wings and keeping track of the situation.
They’ve been linked for months and the fact that Misehouy has now changed agents to internationally renowned Pini Zahavi is seen as a hint he could be looking elsewhere.
Whether he could secure a move to Manchester City is up for debate, but it seems Ajax are reading the signals and getting increasingly frustrated so want to send some of their own, kicking the youngster out of first team training as a ‘strong signal’ of their chance.
