Earlier this week, Bernardo Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes spoke once again about the possibility of Bernardo Silva leaving Manchester City, with multiple clubs having been interested in recent years.
Barcelona are still keen and this is relayed by today’s edition of Sport, with it stated the 29-year-old is still on the La Liga side’s radar
The midfielder was seen as a ‘strategic signing’ for Barca’s project, but they decided to focus on other targets last summer.
Despite this, the Blaugrana have maintained their interest and, in true Catalan style, there’s a believe he’d be keen to leave Manchester City for them.
It’s claimed the Portugal international’s asking price of €65m made it impossible for Barca to sign him. A deal could be viable after this season, when his ‘price could go to €50m’.
The newspaper further adds Manchester City have always opened the door for Silva to leave and haven’t put any obstacles in his way, as long as their financial demands are met.
Silva has managed seven goals and four assists from 25 games for Manchester City this season.
