Ansu Fati has returned to Brighton and Hove Albion this week and is ready to make his mark for the Seagulls in the second half of the season.

That’s according to Cadena SER, who cover the player and his return from a hamstring injury before looking at what comes next for him.

They explain that two months after picking up the injury, the youngster is ‘now recovered’ and Roberto de Zerbi can count on him moving forwards.

Fati has been recovering from the injury in Madrid with the help of Joaquín Juan, a physical trainer who has worked with a growing list of top-level footballers in their recovery.

The Brighton man was seemingly all in on the plan, even moving part of his family to the Spanish capital to be with him during the process.

He’s now ready to return to action and returned to England on Tuesday to ‘plan whenever Roberto de Zerbi wants’. Brighton’s next fixture is against Wolves at home on Monday.

The hope for the youngster is that he can remain injury free and play a major part in the second half of the season before his Barcelona future has to be resolved in the summer.

His loan deal to Brighton is only a simple, straight deal with no purchase clause or anything of that nature. According to Sique Rodríguez, that means it’s a case of see what happens moving forwards.

“His father wanted him to join Sevilla,” he said.

“But he didn’t want to play in Spain because he didn’t want to play against Barça, among other things. Now, his goal is to recover well, play several games together and then see what will happen.”
