Last week, Bild reported Eintracht Frankfurt are planning to hold talks with Leeds United defender Robin Koch’s entourage over a deal after this season.

The centre-back is currently on loan at the German club and has been a key figure in their defence this season, also managing three goals and two assists from 23 games.

This has seen Eintracht Frankfurt take steps to secure the Leeds owned player’s long-term future and Sky Deutschland provide the latest on this case.

Koch’s deal at Elland Road lasts until 2024. Eintracht Frankfurt want to take advantage of his contract situation and he’s also keen on extending his stay with them.

Sky state the Bundesliga side’s leaders want to hand the Germany international a three-year contract, starting from the summer.

It’s claimed the 27-year-old is on the verge of making a permanent move to the German club and the negotiations between the two parties are in the ‘final phase’. In this way, his time with the Whites will come to an end after the season.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg covered this report for Sky and he took to X, formerly Twitter, to say ‘it’s almost a done deal’. He adds Koch is very close to agreeing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt.
