Atalanta have ‘closed the arrival’ of Jordan James from Birmingham City in a deal that will cost them ‘close to €5m’.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who profile the player today and label him as ‘the Welsh Bellingham’ amid a growing belief he’ll be making the move to Italy.
Reports today have indicated that Atalanta have made their move for the Birmingham City midfielder, who is reportedly keen on the switch to Italy and the chance to play in Europe.
According to them the ‘little talked about move’ has been brought about by the Nerazzurri’s scouting team, who noticed James’ performances in the Championship this season and believe he can be ‘an asset right away’.
They label his growth in the last two years as ‘exponential’ and cover how he has even been compared to Jude Bellingham by Wales coach Rob Page.
That’s a description they label as ‘an exaggeration’ but believe James is a player to watch out for and someone who ‘can surprise’, with a deal now closed to sign him from Birmingham as far as they’re concerned.
